Responsible Gambling

Gambling should always be a form of entertainment, never a source of income or a way to solve financial problems. This page sets out practical guidance and support resources for safer gambling in Australia.

Warning signs

If you recognise any of the signs below, consider seeking professional help:

• Spending more time or money than planned.
• Chasing losses by gambling more.
• Borrowing money to gamble.
• Neglecting family, work, or study responsibilities.
• Feeling irritable when trying to cut down.
• Hiding gambling activity from family and friends.

Self-exclusion and limits

Australia's National Self-Exclusion Register (BetStop) allows eligible users to self-exclude from licensed Australian wagering operators for a minimum period. You can also use operator tools such as deposit limits, loss limits, session time limits, and reality checks.
